We use a WideTek 36 Fine art Scanner , the only one of its kind on the island of Ireland. the WideTek 36 Art scanner is capable of scanning originals at up to up to 60” x 36” well above A0 size. This is a non-contact, archival, museum quality, high-resolution art-scanning solution which scans your originals with no interpolation (forced digital enlarging) or stitching (joining together multiple smaller scans). Our scans are provided at 600 dpi x the size of the original artwork .
Our WideTek 36 Fine art Scanner has been chosen by us for its superior detail and accuracy. It is used in many of the world’s leading museums for scanning and archiving major works of art. The system ensures sharp and accurate scanning for full reproduction of the widest range of colours, even in shadow areas. We capture the finest details of your work matching colours and Impasto (paint textures) in our high resolution digital print files. All our digital scans are then carefully colour matched against the original and we work closely with you to create fully archival, museum quality Edition and Limited Edition prints from your copy files.
We provide you with a copy of the high-resolution print file as a TIFF file as well as giving you a low-resolution JPEG file for use on your website and social media. We recommend that you test your print files on one of our fine art papers so you can preview colours, tone and texture before ordering a print edition run at full size.
Original artwork scans produced here at Rush Digital Printing can generally print at least 2x larger than the original without loss of detail due to the high scan quality. Rush Digital Printing artwork scanning prices includes basic editing and colour correction, the production of a full size .tiff file and the provision of a standard web size/social media .jpg file. We recommend that you test your print files on one of our fine art papers so you can preview colours, tone and texture before ordering a print edition run at full size. We provide a download link for your files using Dropbox. Whether you are an established or emerging artist we look forward to working with you.
